Choose from a gas engine or a diesel, and both are 6.6L V8s. The gas engine has direct injection, variable valve timing, and an engine block made specifically from cast iron to increase durability. It gets you 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque, with a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission to control it all.

If you go for the diesel, you’re getting a turbo diesel with an air induction system that is exclusive to the segment and improves both performance and durability. This engine also has a 10-speed automatic, an Allison, and can get you 470 hp and 975 pound-feet of torque. With all that power, you can handle a max of 7,329 pounds and get up to 14,000 pounds GVWR.

Chevy knows that many of us have to use our trucks as a workspace, and they’ve equipped the 2025 3500 HD Chassis Cab with everything you need to make that possible. You can stay connected with the available Wi-Fi hotspot, there are USB ports and an available 120V power outlet, and you get Google built-in. This lets you access Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play from the touchscreen, making it easy to stay updated and connected no matter where you are.

Options and Upfits

There’s a wide variety of upfits available, including Utility, Dump Truck, and Flat Bed. You can also equip the truck with up to eight available cameras that give you 14 views of the area around you, making towing, parking, and any kind of work much easier. There are three separate hitch views available: one that gives you a close-up of the receiver hitch for connecting a trailer, one that gives you a top-down view to show the bed of your truck and the area around it, and a bed view so you can check on your cargo. Then you have seven driving views available, including a transparent trailer view.

You can also choose an available 12-inch large axle and from two fuel tank options, including one that can give you about 63 gallons, so you can go just about anywhere. With the Duramax engine and the crew cab, you can get special exhaust brakes, and on the regular cab, you can choose from a 60-inch or an 84.5-inch cab-to-axle length.
